About Home Taste

In a calm and intimate setting in Higashi-Azabu,
we offer a space to learn and deeply enjoy authentic Japanese home cooking.

While learning the fundamentals of dashi and Japanese seasonings,
you will also discover the culture and stories behind each dish.

With a small class size of up to six guests,each session is designed to provide a thoughtful and refined experience.
Please enjoy a moment that feels just a little special
— like being welcomed into a Japanese home.

Lessons are available in English,
and guests visiting from overseas are warmly welcome to join.

Meet the Instructor

Mari Yukinaga

Mari Yukinaga

Lead Instructor

Graduated from Kagawa Nutrition Junior College. After working as an assistant at a culinary school, she began her career as a freelance food professional. Through years of experience as a cooking instructor and food educator, she has refined both her culinary knowledge and practical cooking skills.


She has worked extensively as a food coordinator for television programs, magazines, and commercials. In 1994, she traveled to Italy to further study cuisine, training at a culinary school and a trattoria in Florence.

Her affordable and delicious recipes, introduced on the NTV television program “The Kindest 50-Yen Recipes,” resonated with many homemakers and were later published as books, with total sales exceeding 550,000 copies.

She currently conducts cooking classes throughout Japan and resides in Tokyo.

TV Asahi, NHK, and San-in Broadcasting Radio “Asa Nama” — airing every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 PM.

Responsible for cooking support and lesson assistance.

A certified childcare professional, dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where guests with small children can participate comfortably and with peace of mind.

Having studied abroad in Australia, she is also skilled in communicating in English.
